Canada struck back at the U.S., with tariffs on about $20 billion worth of goods.
From today: American goods including steel and cosmetics will be hit with tariffs from 15 to 50 percent. Canada says its tariffs match Donald Trump’s dollar for dollar and rate for rate.
In response: Trump has threatened to ban Bombardier jet sales in the U.S. The world will be watching to see whether Canada, whose economy is dwarfed by its southern neighbor, can withstand Trump’s economic pressure.
