	Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Iran war has cost about $37.5 billion so far.

At a hearing in Congress yesterday: Hegseth was questioned by frustrated lawmakers about the strategy for the war. He defended a request for an additional $67 billion in funding.
The human cost is also rising: The four U.S. soldiers killed during hostilities in recent days were all assigned to air defense units, tasked with protecting bases from missiles and drones.
